Yin Yoga Therapy
What is yin?
Yin yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga incorporating traditional Chinese medicine with shapes held for long periods of time. Yin stretches and targets the fascia throughout the body, connective tissues between the muscles, and exercises the bone and joint areas of the body.
Yin yoga uses the entirety of the human being. Yin impacts the body on the physical, psychological, and physiological levels. Following the principles of yin, arrive in the pose, find your edge, and remain in stillness. As you remain in stillness, the meridians or invisible energetic pathways in your body that carry Qi release blocks and restore the body to a state of wellbeing.
