Dandelion

This week I am sharing some inspiration. Inspiration comes from our spirits. If you do not feel love, you do not feel the truth, and your truth is all wrapped up in your connection to your Spirit. This is why inspiration is a critical part of the fulfillment of your intention to live a life of purpose.

As a child who grew up in New Jersey, green lawns of spring time meant many dandelions. I remember the wispy nature of this flower as it was something I would blow on to hope my wishes would be fulfilled.

What if I told you that living a life of inspiration and purpose was within you and not in another text, job, or relationship? That all you seek is truly within you?

The dandelion is actually a symbol of hope, love, and happiness. Despite many of us feeling that this is an annoying weed that takes over our yards, the symbolism behind it is one of beauty. The bright yellow of its petals represent the sun shining the goodness in your life. The black seeds of the plant are said to carry the wishes for prosperity and new beginnings with them as they fly away into the sky.

As I contemplate the meaning of this springtime/summer flower, How can we live a life on purpose living out our wishes fulfilled? How do I find my purpose? Does such a thing really exist?

Many individuals feel a little sense of purpose, and some doubt they have one. Intention is a force of the universe. Intention and purpose are inextricably linked to your DNA. Many things you think of as problems are simply a disconnect from your intention or true purpose and simply signals to get back to it. When you are inspired by spirit and purpose, all will show up for you at the right time.

Living a life connected to our dharma and purpose and knowing when it is time to let other things go in order to stay connected to our life’s purpose. As Joseph Campbell writes,

“Eternity is not the hereafter….this is it. If you don’t get it here, you won’t get it anywhere.”

Each of us are sacred beings. Try repeating to yourself, “I am not from here.”

You know yourself as your name and physical body and many achievements from this physical world. However, you emerged from a universal field of Creation that is intention itself. This field is one of pure love, beauty, and creativity. In other words, infinite Dandelions!!!!!!

As long as your dreams and wishes are in alignment with this forward movement and field of the infinite mind and spirit, along with dropping behind egoic and fear based thought, you CAN live a life of inspiration.

You were born with potential.

You were born with goodness and trust.

You were born with ideals and dreams.

You were born with greatness.

You were born with wings.

You are not meant for crawling, so don’t.

You have wings.

Learn to use them and fly.

-Rumi

As you make living your intentions your reality, repeat after yourself, “I love me.”These magical words will help you maintain your self-respect. This doesn’t create superiority but is equal to all. Carry the thought, “I am whole and perfectly created.” By bringing these words into your day, their energy will flow directly into your being. Last, extend unconditional regard for all others and to life. Respect your body with good self care, meditate, connect to your source, make amends with adversaries, and remember self in self respect. Others opinions toward you are not fact. You are not responsible for how others perceive you. You can only give away what you have inside. Being in a state of gratitude is the same as being in a respectful state. Be an appreciator of life.

Here’s to the beauty and essence of the dandelion. May you stumble upon one on a summer day and commit to living a life inspired by what is around you. A life of wonder, purpose, and of your wishes being fulfilled.

With love,
